Benjamin Johnson and Kurtis So go way back. It all started when they successfully hacked together a slider with $10 of hardware store supplies and epically failed attaching a GoPro Hero 1 to an already too heavy early consumer drone. They were exposed to the same teachings from one design professor who passionately believes in justifying all decisions, prototyping ideas and asking yourself all of the “whys” and “so whats”. 

They have always been obsessed with using their design education to create films with new perspectives. Not simply making pump up montage videos but justifying all decisions around a potent idea that they believe will connect with an audience. In combination with their passion for film they have been driven to push the creative limits of their work and develop a deep sense of empathy in their understanding of a story and the audience it's intended for. They care deeply about the people and the places that have a story to tell. It's about trying to do justice to the context that the narratives live in. In doing so, they believe that they can develop authentic connections that inspire, empower and motivate.
